Akrapovič Launches First Titanium Version of Its (r)evolutionary Exhaust

Akrapovič has taken its fantastic (r)evolutionary exhaust that premiered at the 2014 Intermot show and created the first titanium version, which will initially be available for the stunning Ducati Multistrada 1200.

The innovative shape of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) system was designed by company founder Igor Akrapovič and has already featured in a carbon-fibre construction for several bikes, including the original concept version at the Intermot Show in Cologne. The unique muffler is a dynamic upgrade of the hexagonal version that Akrapovič successfully developed some years ago and demonstrates a revolutionary evolution, which shows why Akrapovič is at the very pinnacle of high-performance exhaust technology.

The latest incarnation of this (r)evolutionary exhaust will be constructed from high-grade titanium and exquisitely finished with a hand-crafted carbon-fibre heatshield and end-cap. The use of titanium will considerably reduce the weight over the stock system, while incorporating a racing feel through the use of race-bred materials. With a bigger-diameter inlet pipe, this EC-ECE type-approved exhaust offers more rideabilty through smooth power delivery, along with an optimal performance increase that brings out the best in this versatile bike. Sound is also improved, with deeper resonance from the two-cylinder 1200 cc engine, all of which is achieved without the need for a noise-reduction insert.

To perfectly complement the Slip-On Line exhaust, Akrapovič has created an optional titanium header to offer a major step in the exhaust-tuning capability. Made from high-grade titanium, with complex parts produced in Akrapovič’s own in-house foundry, this header is impeccably finished to lend even greater appeal to the Slip-On Line’s desirability. The combination provides an impressive performance increase throughout the entire rev range, giving the Multistrada improved throttle response and offering even greater control over the power distribution. The true sound and feeling of the engine and its character are further enhanced with the addition of the optional header, providing a sporty roar that is enjoyable at all levels and on all rides. To further tune the sound, the optional header comes with a noise-reduction insert.

The Slip-On Line exhaust and optional header are supplied with easy-to-follow mounting manuals and need no remapping or other parts to take the Ducati Multistrada to even greater levels of refinement and enjoyability.
