2015 Yamaha MT-03 now available in Thailand – 321cc Dark Knight of Street

Most of us already knew about the availability of the Yamaha MT-25 in Indonesia, but in Thailand, they just got a much more powerful version of it with the name Yamaha MT-03 ABS. This a predicted marketing by Yamaha since they already introduced the YZF-R3 in Thailand as opposed to the YZF-R25 in Indonesia and Malaysia. The YZF-R25 and YZF-R3 share the same frame and accessories, except the higher capacity engine at 321cc as compared to the 249cc and the addition of ABS. FYI, the R25 produces 35.5hp (26.5kW) at 12,000RPM with torque rated at 22.1Nm at 10,000RPM. While the R3 is pushing 30.9 kW (42.0PS) @ 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm (3.0 kg-m) @ 9,000 rpm. This actually translates to 14.3% increase in power and 25.3% increase in torque!

I like the one in red of this MT-03 as it shows it muscle and works well with the overall of the bike than the usual Race-Blu of the Yamaha colour.

The multi-function meter is retained and this prove to be an easy fit for this bike.

2015-Yamaha-MT03-details-002 The fuel tank can be filled up to 14 liters of fuel for that long distance riding. The tank is made to look big as tank are also usually related to the ‘shoulder’ of the bike. It must look tough.

The rear section shows the familiar tail light construction as used on the YZF-R25 / R3. The addition of the rear pillion handle makes it easy for the pillion and also to stand the bike in double-stand.

    1. Ok cuba tgk taun 90an antara RXZ dan sstwo tapi zaman tu org muda lebih suka beli RXZ sb design rangi n furtistik sdgkn klajuan antara rxz n sstwo lebih kurang sama je..

      Skrang 2015 antara 135lc n fz150i nape kebanyakan beli LC nape plak x beli fz, padahal klajuan lebih kurang sama je..

      Pendek kata zaman skrang ni org suka moto ada bakulll

Ye ker kelajuan lc sama laju ngan fz….?lagi satu, sekarang ni pun ramai gak yg pakai fz, terutama student, sebab selesa ntuk long distance, tank minyak besar, tak perlu berhenti kerap ntuk isi minyak, kalu takdak bakul pun buleh tambah box atau side box…..mentenen pun lebih kurang lc, fz buleh jaa modi, injector ngan throttle body aftermarket dah ada, uma ngan satu lagi brand dari indon,blok sama ngan lc, cam pun sama, ecu racing pun dah ada….cuma agak costly ntuk modi…..masing2 ada kelebihan dan kekurangan….dan aku tak nafikan kalu lc mod pegi mencanak sebab kelebihan power to weight ratio…..
