Akrapovič is having a busy time at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan as it launches many new models for on- and off-road motorcycles along with unveiling its latest concept muffler and celebrating a momentous event in the company’s history.

With the latest technological advances for all sectors of motorcycles on display, the Akrapovič stand at EICMA certainly showed the innovation and design capabilities of the company’s R&D department, including the first Titanium version of the (r)evolutionary Akrapovič Slip-On exhaust system, which is being exhibited at this prestigious show. Designed for the Ducati Multistrada, it is constructed using high-grade Titanium, giving a huge weight saving over stock. Beautifully finished with a carbon fibre heatshield and end-cap, the exhaust offers an increase in performance and a deeper more rewarding sound, and represents Akrapovič’s unstinting desire to be the best.  Racing_Line_Honda_CBR650F (3)

Alongside this amazing muffler are exhaust systems for bikes as diverse as the ground-breaking Kawasaki Ninja H2R and the Ducati Scrambler, and the latest designs for mid-weight sports bikes such as the Honda CBR650F and for the lightweight category such as the Yamaha YZF-R3. These are complemented with a whole range of scooter exhaust systems for models as varied as the Honda Forza 125 and the Aprilia SRV 850. The latest ranges in the off-road market are also on show, with four superb systems for the Honda CRF450R, Yamaha YZ450F, Suzuki RM-Z450, and the Kawasaki KX450F, all of which show the ability of Akrapovič’s off-road racing programme to translate its knowledge and technical experience to the aftermarket sector.

EICMA also saw the unveiling of Akrapovič’s latest concept muffler. Directly evolved from the (r)evolutionary exhaust that was designed by Igor Akrapovič and launched at the Intermot show in Cologne last year, the latest concept is a technical advance that incorporates a whole host of innovative features that have been developed by the company’s R&D department. With special emphasis on meeting EC/ECE type-approval regulations, the new muffler also has a larger volume to meet these strict requirements. The new exhaust is distinctively a progression in the initial hexagonal muffler design and shows that the Slovenian exhaust specialists are constantly looking towards the future with their innovative and high-tech exhaust technology.

Akrapovič has a great racing heritage and is certainly a company that can be #TrustedByChampions. This is being celebrated at EICMA as it commemorates a significant event in the company’s 24-year history. With the milestone of 100 World Champions being achieved following Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) securing the MotoGP™ title at Valencia recently, this occasion has been marked with many Akrapovič-equipped race machines on display, including the Honda SP-2 ridden by Colin Edwards when he claimed the first-ever world title for Akrapovič during the 2000 WSBK Championship.
