Yamaha Sports Ride Concept at Tokyo Motor Show 2015 – A Car from Yamaha

Lightweight, high-rigidity, high-strength frame is the focus of this concept made Yamaha. Yes, it is a car. A car from Yamaha. The process is called iStream where it is developed by Gordon Murray Design Limited to produce the frame which is rooted in the Formula One technology.

The design of the car is original enough and for me, it is a design that shows the Japanese roots of Yamaha.

The dashboard features a driver-oriented meter panel which is symmetry. There is the Yamaha tuning fork logo on the center of the steering wheel which is very unusual since Yamaha only made few concept car and not yet commercialised any of it. There is the development by Yamaha in collaboration of Lexus in making the LFA engine though.

The rear end shows a double muffler exhaust pipe which remind us about the underseat exhaust that is fitted in some Yamaha R1 iteration.

If this car ever made into production, it could be the ultimate Yamaha fan collection item. There is no information about the engine so far.
