Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia introduces the awaited Yamaha MT-07 at Shell Advance Malaysian MotoGP with the special appearance of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. The Yamaha MT-07 will be priced for RM42k (basic) for the CBU version. CKD version will soon follow on mid 2015 and the price is expected to be cheaper.
Yamaha MT-07 is tagged as the ‘Rise Up Your Darkness’ to show that this bike is different than the rest of the competitor. It is one of the ‘Dark’ family that include the MT-09 and MT-125. The Yamaha MT-07 is equipped with parallel twin 689cc engine , producing 74.8PS, 68Nm@6,500 RPM. It weighs at 179kg wet weight (Dry weight 164kg).
A good bike with a good price for the 700cc category. Competitors in the category are Kawasaki ER6 at RM36k and the CB650F at RM39,999.
